The Centre for Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with farmers, Farmer Producer Organisations, Governments, NGOs, and Markets to implement sustainable agriculture models. CSA focuses on working directly with over 50,000 farmers in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Maharashtra, and impacting more than 200,000 farmers in Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.

Krishna Sudha Academy for Agroecology is an independent research and training centre established by SreePVF in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Agriculture with over 38 acres of organic/natural farming models demonstrated along with soil, microbial, seed and pesticide residue testing laboratories, classrooms and comfortable stay.

One of our key areas of work is to strengthen the sustainable seed systems and work on the same which focuses on supporting seed entrepreneurs in Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). Now we are excited to extend an invitation to the women and youth farmers associated with FPOs, individual entrepreneurs and startups for “Seeds of Success: Training for Women and Youth on Seed Production and Marketing”. This program aims to build the knowledge and skills of women and youth to become successful seed entrepreneurs, contributing to the growth and sustainability of our agricultural community.

Benefits:

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge about seed entrepreneurship, fostering self-reliance and contributing to the economic prosperity of our farming community. The training aims to build a network of women and youth entrepreneurs to play a more significant role in sustainable seed systems. CSA provides access to foundation seeds of a wide variety of crops and varieties and also access to the market through FPOs.

The participants will also get hand-holding support for one entire season of operations.

To confirm participation, interested FPO/SHG/FPC/Individuals are requested to nominate women and youth farmers to register by 31st January 2024. This is the registration cum payment link. Limited slots are available, so early registration is encouraged.

Registration Fee: Rs. 10,000 per participant which includes stay, food and resource material.
